Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the restaurant team, ensuring exceptional service and food quality while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage budgets for labour, orders, and supplies, making strategic decisions to maintain cost efficiency and operational excellence.
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure product quality, training on new menu items, and staff development, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, driving staff growth and retention.
- Engage with guests, fostering a welcoming environment that keeps regulars coming back while making newcomers feel right at home.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant and bar setting.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for developing and growing talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for connecting with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, P&L, and inventory.
- Ability to maintain the high standards of quality and service that Original Joe’s is known for.
