This is a full time opportunity on an afternoon shift, working 4 days a week, 10 hours a day from 3:30pm - 2:00am. This is a solid, straight afternoon shift with no rotation. Training will be provided on days for a period of time.
Plans machining through component requirements, as well as maximizing machine run time efficiency
Plans stock inventory of tooling by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and orders for stock; verify receipt of stock
Programs mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; providing part programs
Maintains safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, and improvement/fixturing ideas
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
Ability to both program and set up/ operate the machines
Checking and validating work before it is qualified as complete using precision measuring instruments
Work independently with minimum supervision
Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Toolroom environment
Experience with programming CNC, not only changing outputs
High proficiency in MasterCAM, Solidworks, AutoCad and Hard milling
Will have thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
