The Human Resources Coordinator will support the HR team across core HR functions including onboarding, employee experience, benefits administration, and HR analytics. This role is designed as a developmental opportunity for someone seeking broader exposure across the employee lifecycle and HR functions.
This position reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Advisor and has the following general duties and responsibilities assigned to their role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the new hire onboarding and the orientation process, ensuring an effective entry for new employees; includes meeting all internal requirements and providing a positive early employee experience.
- Facilitate new hire orientations as the HR representative, while collaborating and communicating proactively with a variety of other departmental representatives (including Training and Development, Health and Safety, and Quality).
- Employee benefits administration; completing employee enrollments, changes, and terminations with our benefits providers, responding to employee inquiries, and completing monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with leave administration and related documentation, where applicable.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate and timely employee records, in compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
- Maintain HRIS data and other records with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, and timeliness to enable reliable reporting, compliance, and operational decision making.
- Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics including headcount, turnover, onboarding timelines, absenteeism, and other workforce analytics.
- Continue to ensure HR workflows are streamlined and scalable across the operating businesses.
- Ensure documentation and recordkeeping practices are aligned and standardized.
- Identify trends, data discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support day-to-day HR operations for multiple operating businesses within our shared services structure.
- Assist with policy updates, employee communications, and other HR programs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of HR experience in onboarding and benefits administration.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
- Advanced Excel or reporting skills.
- Experience supporting employee experience initiatives and other HR projects.
- Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices.
- Experience with process improvement or HR automation initiatives.
- Interest in growing into further HR roles.
