Senior Client Growth Manager — Remote (Calgary / Edmonton)
CAD $6,000/month retained — $72,000 guaranteed, plus uncapped performance pay
On target $132,000 · a strong year clears $160,000 · the top band pays $182,000
Fully remote, Alberta-based. Your normal working day covers both US coasts.
We sell people a complete cleaning business — the software, the website, the brand, the lead flow, the training. About 30% of them get to a first booking and go on to build something real.
The other 70% never make the first call. They are not lazy. Most of them are frightened, or they have never sold anything in their life, and nobody has ever sat down with them and made them do it.
That is the whole job. You take on ten new owners a month — never more, so you can actually do it properly — and you own one number: how many of them take a first paid booking within 60 days of signing up. Today it is 30%. We think the right person gets it past 60%.
Everything is already built for them. Our marketing lead sets up their Google Ads, their Local Services listing, Thumbtack, Bark — all of it, configured and switched on before you ever speak to them. You are not here to set anything up. You are here to make sure they use it.
What the week actually looks like
- They commit to 2–3 hours a day, Monday to Friday, at the phone. You agree the exact hours in your first call and you write them into their calendar. That block is the deal.
- They message you every single day with what they did — how many leads came in, how many they answered, how fast, how many quotes went out. If they did nothing, they tell you that and why.
- You check what they actually did, not what they said. Response times, days they showed up, how much of their budget they spent. When somebody has logged two days out of five and spent $100 of their $500, you have that conversation — with the numbers in front of you, politely, and without letting it slide.
- Forty-five minutes a week for their first eight weeks. Same three questions every time: what did you do, what happened, what are you doing next.
- You listen to two or three of their real sales calls every week and write them feedback. This is where the coaching actually lands.
- You roleplay with them. They make the call to you first, where getting it wrong is free.
- You motivate them. Most of these people have never run a business and are quietly terrified. Half this job is being the reason they pick the phone up on a Tuesday morning when they do not feel like it.
- Every Friday, triage the book. The clients who go quiet are the ones about to leave; the ones who complain are usually fine.
You will never make their calls for them
Not once, not as a demonstration. You will build our library of recorded example calls — that is your headline deliverable in your first 60 days — and from then on every client learns from the recordings, from roleplay with you, and from your feedback on their own calls.
Your second and largest payment lands when a client is still booking six months later, long after you stopped holding their hand. If they only succeed while you are on the call, neither of us gets paid.
You will fit this if
- You have coached or managed people to do something hard that they were avoiding — a field consultant for a franchise network, onboarding or success at a small-business software company, a sales trainer, or you ran a team of brand new reps.
- You are comfortable on camera and on a screen share with someone who is nervous, and you can get a small, specific, dated commitment out of them without leaning on them.
- You chase. Follow-up is not the admin around this job, it is the job.
- You are happy to have the awkward conversation. Somebody who has done none of the work for two weeks needs to hear that, from someone who is still on their side.
You will not fit this if
- Your last role is best described by response times or tickets closed.
- You want to work through email and shared documents. This is on the phone and on video, every day, with people who are stuck.
- You avoid confrontation. A client who is drifting and never gets told is a client we lose.
How the money works
- CAD $6,000 a month retained — $72,000 a year, paid whatever happens. More guaranteed than most Canadian customer-success roles pay in total.
- $200 for every client who takes a first paid booking within 60 days.
- $350 for every one of those clients still booking at day 180.
- A quarterly bonus on the cohort you took through: $2,500 at 50%, $4,000 at 60%, $8,000 at 70%, $12,000 at 80%. Under 50% it pays nothing — we are not interested in leaving half of them behind.
- Up to $10,000 a year when churn on your own book stays under 4%.
- No cap. If you get more of them booking, you get paid more, permanently.
Apply with a short note telling us about one person you got unstuck — what they were doing wrong, what you changed, and what happened. We read those first and we care about them more than the CV.d ship it.
