Miller Capilano Maintenance Corporation (MCMC) is the leading Operations and Maintenance provider for the Sea to Sky Highway, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of this critical corridor. We are responsible for the continuous maintenance and operation of the highway, ensuring the upkeep of all pavements, structures, and signage. In addition to our highway services, we proudly operate a dedicated micro-surfacing division that serves clients across Western Canada. We also run a road surface milling fleet with a state-of-the-art road milling Wirtgen W210i.
Together with our trusted partner companies, we manage and maintain over 1,000 kilometers of vital traffic routes throughout the South Coast. Our network includes the Sunshine Coast Highway, Golden Ears Way in Langley and Maple Ridge, the Trans-Canada Highway from Vancouver to West Vancouver, and the Sea to Sky Highway from Horseshoe Bay to Duffey Lake in Pemberton. We are committed to delivering excellence in infrastructure care, supporting the safety and efficiency of key transportation corridors that serve communities across the region.
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to support our micro surfacing operations. We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to support our projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced industrial environment. Flexibility to travel for extended periods and live on-site based on project location is essential, with accommodation provided for jobs that are too far to commute from Squamish. This position is seasonal but has the possibility of extension if both parties mutually agree.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and hazard awareness
What We are Looking For
- Class 1 License
- Experienced in various types of equipment operation
- Previous experience in industrial or construction environments is required
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to learn
