Our furniture store is looking to hire for a part-time position. We are looking for a very organized person to help in our mattress and furniture store. We sell and ship Canada-wide; the place can get quite busy and the job is very high paced. The ability to multitask and learn quickly is very important.
The current opening is primarily to join the marketing department. The majority of the time would be spent creating online ads, managing our online presence, as well as creating graphics for print. The secondary part would be to help with sales, Warehousing, and Driving. We are a smaller company and we help each other out where needed so some flexibility is considered an asset. There is plenty of room to grow with the company and take on new responsibilities as we grow if one so wishes.
Skills required:
Graphic Design- Create graphics for In Store use as well as digital and physical marketing materials. Video creating and editing is a plus.
Social Media and Marketing- Ability to increase our online and physical presence through Marketing.
-Computers - Work with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, troubleshoot printers computers, graphics for marketing purposes. Good knowledge of marketing avenues.
-Customer service - Always provide outstanding customer service, constantly interacting with customers, out-bound and in-bound customer calls.
-Sales – Experience an asset. Help sell Mattresses, furniture, other products as well, etc.
-Ability to do shipping and receiving is considered an asset. Preferably be able to load and unload trucks and lift up to 50lbs (lifting 100lbs is an asset)
The company operates 6 days a week, so the applicant must be able to work on week-ends with the possibility of rotating shifts.
There are multiple companies operated out of the one store so the successful applicant will have to learn about them.
Pay will be based on experience and performance.
