Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and other desserts with precision and artistry
- Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
- Follow established recipes and food safety standards to maintain high-quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling desserts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and packaging procedures
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert ideas that align with current trends and customer preferences
- Ensure all baked items are presented attractively and delivered on time for service or display purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong skills in baking, cake decorating, and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction
- Experience working in fast-paced kitchens with attention to detail and organization
- Familiarity with packaging standards for bakery products is a plus
