Computer and Manager Service Technician
Your responsibilities:
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. This position will deliver comprehensive IT support to our clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience; prior experience working in an IT/MSP company is an asset.
- Proactive approach to support with the ability to identify problems in advance to improve service.
- Proven problem solver and great team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
Technical Skills:
- Responding to technical issues submitted to the Help Desk and acting as the first point of contact for our customers.
- Documenting all incidents and steps taken through to resolution.
- Proficient with hardware installation, configuration, and repairs of servers, desktops, laptops, RAM, storage, switches, routers, and Ubiquiti WiFi equipment.
- Technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and management of Windows OS, Windows-based applications, peripherals, mobile devices, and network connections.
- Ability to manage network servers, desktops, laptops, and technology tools.
- Experience with Windows Server Administration, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SQL.
- Familiarity with backup software such as Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements.
- Experience with remote access tools such as RDP, ScreenConnect, LogMeIn, and TeamViewer.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the use of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Familiarity with various operating systems and mobile platforms (such as Android or iOS).
- Comfortable working with security appliances like WatchGuard and SonicWall.
Duties:
- Help the team with building technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Provide both remote and onsite technical support to our clients.
- Proactively monitor the support queue to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
- Provide after-hours support when needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Conduct research on how to improve efficiencies with current software programs.
