Big West Ford is currently accepting applications for an experienced Ford Diesel Technician to join our Service Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in diesel diagnostics, repair quality, and efficient workmanship. We have a steady volume of work, a strong Ford customer base, and the service department structure to help the right technician maximize their earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Ford diesel, heavy-duty, and light-duty vehicles
- Perform diesel engine repairs, drivability diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and general service work
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy
- Review repair orders and document all work performed clearly and thoroughly
- Identify additional service or safety concerns and communicate findings as required
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the service team
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures, safety standards, and dealership processes
- Participate in ongoing Ford training and development programs
Qualifications
- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification required
- Previous Ford diesel experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with heavy-duty, diesel, and light-duty vehicle repair
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ford training or certifications are considered an asset
