The VP of People and Culture will work with the Founder/CEO and Executive Leadership Team to scale the Company to achieve its long-term vision for creating a thriving, collaborative and high performance culture. This person will be an integral leader to Company's success, providing counsel, developing road-maps and executing on key people-related programs. This includes building a global workforce plan to help the company rapidly scale, driving cultural initiatives, enhancing performance management, employee engagement, development and retention, and leading the total rewards strategy. They will guide the Company through the complex global HR issues of an evolving enterprise, while establishing and championing a people-focused, mission driven, team culture that allows the entire organization to be aligned with our vision. This position is a key member of the company's management team and reports to the COO.

Culture Ambassador: Amplify and operationalize our core values and build employee connections; keeping our people informed, engaged, and inspired.

Talent Acquisition: Support Global Talent Acquisition strategy by building best practices, enhancing processes, and improving experiences to accelerate the hiring of top talent.
HR Systems: Design HR frameworks and systems that meet the needs of a rapidly changing and growing company.
Performance Management: Continue to develop a performance-based culture focused on setting measurable objectives, driving improvements to performance and process, engendering accountability, collaboration, and delivering consistent feedback.
People Analytics: Own and drive a metrics-based framework to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities within the organization, and translate those insights into actionable measures, tied to key performance indicators.
Operational Excellence: Develop best-practice operational mindset and processes both within the People Operations team and in its interactions with other teams across the organization.
Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior executives and Finance on strategic planning as relates to people e.g., changes to compensation, workforce management, global expansions, headcount planning, etc. and drive implementation of plans throughout the year.
People Leadership: Coach, mentor, and develop individuals on the People team, and continue to elevate the organization to perform at a world-class level.
Senior Corporate Leadership: Be a visible member of the executive team and a trusted advisor to departmental and operational leaders at all levels in the company as we build, align, energize, and retain our high performing organizations.
In a nutshell, we need you to have:
Master’s or other advanced degree or equivalent experience (e.g., organization development, management consulting) required. CHRL or SPHR is an asset.
10+ years of progressive experience in a leadership capacity with a significant focus on HR.
Experience working at technology start-ups; working knowledge of scaling organizations from start-up to enterprise preferred.
Reputation as a strong, decisive, results-oriented HR leader with a strong understanding of the business.
Experience as a strategic partner to a leadership team helping to ensure the organizational practices align with stated values in support of the company's ambitious mission.
Influence capability, with the ability to drive change with executive teams and across agile growth organizations, aligning the people strategy to the business strategy.
Proven success in delivering high-impact talent programs around performance management, culture, employee engagement and retention.
Resourceful and proactive scaling of a global startup; demonstrated experience hiring and building organizations in multiple countries, understanding local policies, processes and laws to ensure timely delivery of business needs.
Ability to foster and lead a diverse and inclusive workforce, a critical component of our thriving global business.
Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and staff at all levels of an organization.
Strong leader and mentor to People team and external partners; models excellence in hiring and managing teams.
Overall expertise in People Operations with the ability to identify and use emerging People Operations technology, creating self service, collaboration, transparency, while also supporting teams that are hiring.
Highly skilled and empathetic listener and communicator in 1:1, team and executive level conversations.
Helps to raise awareness of key issues and coach others through conflict and challenging situations.
The ability to think and design strategically, but also manage tactical and operational issues at the ground level. Has worked in early stage/growth scenarios as well in large enterprise environments
