HearSay Speech & Hearing Centre offers private practice speech, language, literacy and listening services to a primarily pediatric-based population (with some teen and adult clientele). Other satellite clinic locations offer speech and language services whereby we are seeking clinicians for the Milton location at this time.
Position Description: This position is a clinical position which would include meeting with parents, families and children in order to carry out treatment plans and goals outlined by the Speech-Language Pathologists. The successful candidate will provide stellar customer service. The clinician will build a client caseload and see children and families based on their speech, language, literacy and listening needs.
A broad knowledge and understanding of the range of speech and language services and disorders are pertinent for this job. Good rapport with families and children are needed in order to address the speech and language disorders of our clientele.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in, or Graduated from, a Communicative Disorders Assistant course at an accredited college
- Registration with CDAAC upon Graduation
- Preference to candidates who have (non-placement) experience and job experience, as well as administrative experience.
- Experience working with clients and their families preferred.
Principal Duties:
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to populations with speech, language and literacy disorders and delays.
- Customer Service Ambassador within the Milton office
- Public education, and liaise with community agencies
Required Education:
- Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) Diploma OR
- Currently registered in a CDA course at an accredited College with the intent to graduate
Required Experience:
- Clinical Experience (an asset): 1 year
Remuneration: Client therapy interactions are based on client contact hours and billed on a fee-for-service schedule.
