The Role
We're looking for an organized, dependable Admin Assistant/Dispatcher to join our team and take on a mix of office and dispatch responsibilities for our group of companies. This is a great fit for someone who's comfortable juggling several tasks in a day and doesn't mind being the friendly voice on the phone when a customer calls.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
- Answering incoming calls and directing customer inquiries
- Coordinating and dispatching field technicians and drivers
- Keeping office records, invoices, and files organized and up to date
- Supporting the team with other administrative duties as needed
- Occasionally fielding a call from someone who really needs a portable toilet, like, right now
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic bookkeeping
- Clear, friendly phone manner
- Ability to multitask and stay calm when things get busy
- Previous admin, dispatch, or bookkeeping experience
- Commercial dispatching experience is an asset
- Experience with QuickBooks is an asset (not required)
- Bonus points for a sense of humour
