Siya Forestry LP is growing, and we're looking for a motivated Assistant Field Technician who enjoys working outdoors, wants to develop a broad forestry skill set, and is looking for an opportunity to grow with a team.
Siya Forestry is an established joint venture between the Osoyoos Indian Band (OIB) and Infinity-Pacific Stewardship Group Ltd., supporting OIB's vision for a more direct and meaningful role in managing lands and resources within its traditional territory.
THE ROLE
· Assist Lead Engineers with road and cutblock development while incorporating First Nations values and strategies
· Timber cruising and silviculture surveys
· GPS traversing
· Field data collection and entry
· Support engineering and reconnaissance projects
· Take on additional responsibilities as your experience and skills develop
COMPENSATION & FIELD PACKAGE
· Full-time employment with a typical 5-on / 2-off workweek
· Paid travel time
· Overtime pay for eligible non-professional employees
· Company truck provided from the designated marshalling point

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
· Motivated, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team
· Interested in developing practical forestry skills and taking on increasing responsibility
· Comfortable working outdoors in varied terrain and weather conditions
· Able to travel for field assignments depending on home location
· Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
