What is the opportunity?

Philips Hager & North Investment Services (PH&N IS) is part of RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) and currently manages over $6 Billion in assets. PH&N IS places a high emphasis on providing exceptional client service and trusted advice, and offers a wide range of award winning, low fee investment solutions.

The three main components of this role are relationship management, investment advice and business development. In this unique role you will support a dedicated group of mass affluent and high net worth clients on a non-discretionary basis while supporting the growth of PH&N IS through various other initiatives. What you will do:
  • Foster and strengthen existing and new client relationships by providing tailored investment recommendations to a dedicated group of clients
  • Build client loyalty through high quality, knowledgeable and trustworthy service and advice
  • Communicate the firm’s market commentaries, economic outlooks and asset mix strategies to clients and prospects
  • Adhere to and maintain the highest standard for client service, while ensuring that all compliance requirements are met and exceeded
What you will need to succeed:
Must have:
  • 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in the investment industry, with experience providing client service & investment advice to individual clients
  • CFP or CIM designation
  • Eligible to be licensed with the MFDA
  • Ability to manage a wide range of tasks and clearly communicate complex investment information to clients and co-workers
  • Able to establish rapport and trust with prospective/existing clients, colleagues and co-workers
  • Personable and professional telephone skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment and maturity and able to analyze client situations in order to implement appropriate strategies
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as an effective team player
  • Well organized and able to deal with multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • (Proficient in)Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
