About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced licensed 309A Electrician to lead work with our field services team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring compliance with high safety and quality standards. You will play a key role in mentoring and developing our field services team while managing field service projects safely, efficiently and effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Apprentice Electricians, Telecommunications line and cable workers, and General Labourers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and safe work environment.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the installation of low voltage systems such as security alarms, fire alarms, and telecommunications wiring.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, estimation, execution, and completion of field services projects.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other trades to ensure project success.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities.
- Evaluate, recommend, and order required job materials.
- Maintain an organized work environment by keeping tools, materials, and documentation in order.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert-level technical guidance on complex electrical and telecommunications systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Design, test, measure, install, and maintain electrical systems and related equipment within a commercial/Industrial/residential setting.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
- Installing Programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Safety & Compliance:
- Champion a safety-first culture and enforce safety protocols.
- Conduct safety training or arrange for training and ensure team members are properly equipped.
- Stay up to date on the latest electrical codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Pull Electrical Permits and coordinate with ESA as required.
- Follow ESA Standards.
Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- 5+years Journeyman/woman Electrician
- Experience using Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (Preferred)
- Knowledge of basic hand & power tools
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant safety regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple tasks.
Work Conditions
- Field and Office Work in a commercial/industrial/residential setting
- At times it may be necessary to work outside of the regular work day and/or out of the greater Sudbury area in order to complete their duties.

Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour
