We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Amada Fiber Laser Operator with Tower and Turret Set Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and running laser cutting machines and setting up and running Amada turrets to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality inspection throughout the production process.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
This position is for afternoon shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:45pm -2:15am, 4 days a week.
Lift truck experience is a must.
Duties
- Operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
- Operate CNC Punch presses, Vipros, EM and Strippit to produce high quality parts and components
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
- Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain equipment by conducting routine checks and performing minor repairs as necessary.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling within the production area.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating laser/Punching machines.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques, assembly processes, and quality inspection methods.
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
