The Ministry of Finance plays a key role in establishing, implementing and reviewing government’s economic, fiscal, financial management and taxation policies.

The purpose of the Senior Policy Analyst is to provide leadership, expertise and support for the development, implementation and maintenance of government’s financial policy and legislative framework. The analyst develops financial management policies, procedures and guidelines to maintain government’s financial management framework. The analyst also provides financial policy advice and makes recommendations for corrective action when policies are not followed.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or other related discipline; and

Required to be actively working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

A minimum 5 years’ experience in policy and/or legislation development.

A minimum 3 years’ experience in financial management or accounting.

Preferences may be given to applicants with the following:
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Experience with policy development within a government setting.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
