Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Female Pantry/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic food service setting, contributing to the preparation of delicious meals and supporting overall kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety and sanitation protocols
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Support cooking activities by following instructions from head chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintain cleanliness of the pantry and prep areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Organize ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during meal prep
- Assist with serving food in a timely manner during meal service periods
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and storage
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of kitchen experience or culinary schooling
- Female candidates preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Prior experience in the food industry or meal preparation is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
