We are a growing real estate company managing residential, commercial, hotel, and supportive housing properties. We're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrator to manage financial reporting, streamline operations, and support day-to-day business administration. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks Online, understands multi-entity real estate structures, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online across multiple corporations
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
- Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Budget vs. Actual reports
- Prepare financial summaries and assist with forecasting and planning
- Track rent income, property expenses, loan payments, and tax obligations
- Support year-end file prep for accountants and government filings
Administrative & Property Support
- Coordinate with property managers to track and collect rent
- Generate monthly rent collection reports and follow up on arrears
- Review and reconcile property manager operating statements and expense reports
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance
- Onboard new clients/residents into systems
- Manage files for leases, contracts, invoices, utilities, and insurance
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or equivalent
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency (reporting, reconciliation, payroll integration)
- Understanding of real estate financials (rent rolls, NOI, property-level expenses)
- Experience working with multiple entities/corporations
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong organizational and communication skills
