CanCap Management Inc. (“CanCap”) is part of privately-owned Canadian national financial services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios. We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries. CanCap works with Automobile Dealer Partners to help clients finance the purchase of new and used vehicles.

What your day and week could look like
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Remarketing, a Remarketing Specialist plays an essential role in the effectiveness in the resale of assets. This includes:
Remarketing Support
Assisting in follow up with Auctions on accounts in inventory to prioritize timely sales.
Effectively and efficiently evaluating the potential recovery on the sale of the asset based on a cost analysis of repairs and maximum ROI for the client.
Reviewing supplier contracts, negotiating fees, ensuring appropriate prioritization of our files.
Relationship Management
Overseeing day-to-day issues such as file escalations, billing, reporting, and others as they arise.
Interacting with partners on any account questions with consultation with senior team members to determine trends, issues, concerns, and wins.
Providing daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly updates on progress and status of accounts i.e., number of accounts received, days to receive CR, days to prepare for sale, sold and closed. This will be adjusted accordingly as volume increases.
Reviewing all invoices to ensure match with existing agreements and follow up on any discrepancies prior to submitting for approval.
General
Reviewing existing processes and make recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
Using industry knowledge, review existing reports and make recommendations on enhancements.
How you bring your passion for success
One to three years remarketing experience in consumer lending environment.
Proficiency with lending software or platforms.
Intermediate to advanced user skills with Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A commitment to exceptional customer service.
Fluent ability to write and speak business information to customers and partners.
Ability to juggle competing priorities with a sense of urgency.
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail with an ability to pick out inconsistencies.
Outstanding ability to build rapport with customers over the telephone.
Upbeat and results-oriented team contributions.
Confidence with problem-solving, negotiating, and common-sense decision making.
Analysis and logic with the ability to weigh risks.
Motivation and drive towards continuous learning and growth within your role and the company.
Experience in Auto Financing is an asset.

Additional Information
This position currently works as hybrid. 50% in the office and 50% from home.
Priority will be given to candidates with availability and flexibility to work shifts during days and afternoons. Shifts will run between 8am and 9pm EST.
All interviews will be conducted virtually using Microsoft Teams.
