About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, the position is primarily responsible for assisting with full cycle accounting for our group of companies. You will be an excellent team player and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with full cycle accounting including posting journal entries, performing GL account reconciliations, overseeing and record intercompany transactions
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting
- Developing and implementing accounting related policies and procedures including internal controls
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate cost capture and alignment with manufacturing processes
- Monitor and analyze cost variances (standard vs. actual), investigating root causes and partnering with Operations on corrective actions
- Assist with ERP implementation
- Assist with year end annual review for group of companies
- Other projects and tasks assigned by the Director, Finance & Administration
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in accounting or related discipline
- Working towards a CPA Designation
- Must have 3+ years of recent related accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous ERP experience
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Work Environment
This role is based on manufacturing and office environment and operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting where priorities may shift and teamwork is essential. The position requires a high level of professionalism and customer-focused communication.
