Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, delivering high-quality food, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of food industry best practices. This position offers an opportunity to showcase culinary talents while managing daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. Accomidation is available including utillities, internet and laundry facilities. Servers are also needed.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Manage kitchen staff, delegating tasks and supervising meal preparation to ensure efficiency
Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and operated safely
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Skills

Proven experience in food service, cooking, or restaurant settings with a strong background in food preparation and meal assembly
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent serving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food industry best practices
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team efficiently under pressure
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
