Key Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and preparing desserts in accordance with existing menu
Ensure compliance with food handling safety regulation, health and safety workplace policies and procedures
Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance is a must
To complete all work in an orderly and timely fashion
Actively participate in the development and creation of new pastries and deserts for seasonal releases
Producing batters, fillings, pastries, dough's and custards
Decorating (including Fondant work, piping, glazing, chocolate work, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum two years of pastry experience
Minimum two years of baking experience
Minimum two years of decorating experience
Completion of related pastry culinary program
Food Safe certification is an asset
Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Great attention to detail with a creative flair
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e. punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great team work etc.)
Long periods of standing and walking is required
Repetitive use of hands, dexterity, bending down
Ability to problem solve creatively and calmly under pressure
Positive attitude and a hunger for knowledge and growth
Ability to work in an intense, fast passed environment
Ability to build and nurture relationships with team members
Must be flexible and able to work early mornings and on weekends/holidays

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
