Salary: Starting at $90k, plus incentive
Position Summary
The Estate Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall presentation, functionality, maintenance, and guest experience of the vineyard estate property. This role combines food & beverage, hospitality operations, property management, event support, and estate oversight to ensure the vineyard consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the beauty, safety, and operational excellence of the property.
The Estate Manager works closely with the Winery, Hospitality, Culinary, Sales, Events, and Operations teams to support weddings, corporate events, wine tourism experiences, restaurant, and seasonal programming. This role plays an important part in protecting and enhancing the vineyard’s reputation, ambiance, and revenue-generating opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality Operations
- Ensure all guest-facing areas of the vineyard estate, restaurant, winery, event venues, patios, and grounds are maintained to exceptional hospitality standards.
- Support the delivery of memorable wine country guest experiences through proactive property management and attention to detail.
- Oversee the teams responsible for the ambiance, cleanliness, curb appeal, and visual presentation of the estate year-round.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns related to the property or facilities.
- Collaborate with hospitality and culinary teams to support tours, tastings, weddings, and special events.
Sales, Events & Revenue Support
- Partner with the Sales and Events teams to prepare the property for weddings, corporate retreats, wine events, photoshoots, and VIP experiences.
- Ensure event spaces, vineyards, outdoor venues, and guest facilities are presentation-ready for site tours and client visits.
- Support revenue growth by identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and property offerings.
- Participate in client and vendor walkthroughs as required.
- Assist in maintaining the estate’s luxury and boutique hospitality image to support repeat visitation and positive guest reviews.
- Participate in property walkthroughs with prospective clients and internal stakeholders when required.
Property & Estate Management
- Oversee the daily maintenance and upkeep of vineyard estate buildings, tasting areas, outdoor venues, parking areas, and grounds.
- Coordinate seasonal property preparation including patios, gardens, pathways, outdoor furniture, irrigation systems, and snow removal.
- Oversee the Maintenance team to lead preventative maintenance initiatives to minimize operational disruptions during peak tourism and event seasons.
- Ensure all property infrastructure, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems are functioning efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with vineyard and winery operations to support the overall estate environment and appearance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and support the maintenance and grounds teams in delivering exceptional service standards.
- Collaborating with shared service teams including; Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Retail and Events to enhance guest experience and drive revenue.
- Foster a positive, guest-focused culture within the department.
- Coordinate staffing schedules to support occupancy levels, events, and operational demands.
- Provide training related to service standards, safety procedures, and property expectations.
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and employee development conversations.
Vendor & Project Management
- Working with the COO to obtain quotes, manage timelines, and monitor project budgets.
- Support capital planning initiatives focused on enhancing guest experience and operational efficiency.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Working alongside HR Manager to ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety standards, fire regulations, and building codes.
- Participate in emergency response planning and property risk management.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Promote safe work practices and a culture of accountability throughout the property.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Property Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in hospitality operations, resort management, estate management, winery operations, or luxury guest services.
- Experience supporting weddings, events, tourism operations, or vineyard/winery hospitality environments considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards and guest experience expectations.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event and tourism seasons.

- Ability to work Tuesday – Saturday schedule during peak summer operations
- Combination of office, indoor property oversight, and outdoor estate management.
- Frequent interaction with guests, clients, vendors, and operational leaders.
- Availability to support evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required in a hospitality environment.
