You help implement the operational excellence program in a specific function and/or for cross-functional continuous improvement (CI) projects. You are not only responsible for applying CI tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement but more importantly, you help employees improve their CI skills and build their self-sufficiency.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Provide training on CI tools and techniques to help drive teams through CI cycles. You will also coach employees to help them achieve their targets
- Identify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvements
- Once improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes
- Benchmark externally, ensuring where relevant that best practice and new tools are deployed in collaboration with internal partners

Additional Job Description
Purpose: Accountable for designing, deploying, and sustaining the IL6S system to maximize operational performance and equipment reliability. This role drives loss elimination (Identification, Eradication & Prevention), builds IL6S capabilities across lines, and ensures alignment between IL6S pillar strategy and site productivity targets (Gross Productivity & OGSM). Acts as a technical expert, change agent, and capability builder to drive zero breakdowns, zero defects, and zero accidents.
Main Responsabilities:
Manage and direct colleagues and activites on the line to meet overall performance objectives:
Loss Identification:
Define and build E2E data collection capabilities thru system owner.
Build loss intelligence capabilities for daily understanding with Process Engineers and area support
Conduct Quarterly & Yearly Loss Analysis for plant productivity commitments
Identify Non-Value Activities through WPI tool
Define GE, Waste, and Gross Productivity glidepaths
Track IL6S KPIs/KAIs (MTBF, MTTR, MTBB, OEE/GE)
Deploy visual management systems and organize periodic performance reviews
Report impact and savings to leadership
Loss Erradication:
Manage basic eradication tools (Ideas Kaizen, RCA) with SWP Owner
Train and coach on advanced eradication tools for chronic losses (12 Steps, DMAIC)
Lead Work Process Improvement for NVA (SMED, Makigami, VSM)
Facilitate Kaizen events related to equipment reliability and losses
Execute Waste & GE Governance at front line with Process Engineers
Co-own E2E Productivity Governance with Financial Plant Leader
Loss Prevention & IL6S System Deployment
Lead implementation of IL6S pillars SWP at front line
Own Replication Governance and audit systems
Develop and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SWP connections across pillars
Deploy and standardize Autonomous Maintenance (AM) steps through SWP
Provide feedback on Preventive and Predictive Maintenance strategies through AM Steps
4. IL6S Capability Building
Train and coach teams on TPM/IL6S methodologies
Train operation members on equipment basic care and inspection
Define and develop technical skills matrices
Build internal TPM/IL6S champions
Develop frontline ownership of equipment and processes
5. Safety & Quality Integration
Ensure maintenance processes support zero accidents through HSE tools
Integrate Quality Maintenance to prevent defect generation through QM tools
Support early equipment management for new installations

This role is based in Canada. There is no relocation support available. However, we are open to considering applications from outside of Canada.
The expected base salary range for this position is $93,300 to $116,650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 10% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
