Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including therapeutic, relaxation, and injury treatment techniques
- Conduct client assessments to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records of treatments provided and progress notes
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommended follow-up treatments
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients at all times
- Adhere to all licensing, health, and safety regulations and standards
- Promote wellness services and maintain positive client relationships through excellent customer service
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements
Requirements
- Valid Ontario License in good standing as a Massage Therapist with CMTO
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction and comfort
- Ability to listen attentively to clients’ concerns and customize treatments accordingly
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to ethical standards
Details
Registered Massage Therapist wanted for busy, well-established, multi-disciplinary Health & Wellness Centre in downtown Guelph. This clinic has a 25-year history of providing Natural health care services to the Guelph community and is located on the main street through downtown Guelph with excellent exposure, foot traffic, and patient visibility. This clinic is in a modern, professional office building (with free client parking) adjacent to a long-standing Natural Health food store (Stone Store), and directly across from a busy Medical Centre (Norfolk Medical Centre).
There is a Fitness studio in the lower level of the building offering Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, and Small-group fitness classes. The clinic sees a high amount of walk-in, call-in and drive by patient traffic due to its history and community goodwill, and its excellent location. There are also a high number of “in-office” referrals generated by the many other allied health professionals (15+ practitioners) practicing in the clinic and in the building.
The clinic offers: Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Naturopathic Care, Custom Orthotics, Laser & Shockwave Therapy and is looking to expand its Massage Therapy team.
Position: Looking for a confident, professional, and skilled full-time or part-time Registered Massage Therapist to join our Natural Health care team. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and clinical skills and be willing to work in a team environment. Ideally, the candidate is interested in this position as a primary (full-time) practice location with long-term practice building goals and is willing to include some evening and/or weekend hours as part of their regular schedule. Experience is highly valued but not necessarily required.
Type of Position: Independent contract position with competitive percentage split model. Equipment, supplies and staff (administrative services) provided.
