Fleet Business Development Representative
Metro Vancouver / Fraser Valley, BC (Home-Based)
Territory: Vancouver Island, with additional opportunities throughout the Okanagan and Western Canada
Compensation: $90,000–$100,000+ OTE (base salary, uncapped commission, monthly vehicle allowance, and mileage reimbursement)

Wagonmaster Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Business Development Representative to develop and grow an untapped territory throughout Vancouver Island.
This is not an account management role.
We are looking for a highly motivated business development professional who enjoys opening new accounts, building long-term customer relationships, and growing market share within fleet, transportation, commercial, industrial, and maintenance-focused markets.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- Experience selling products or services directly to fleet, trucking, transportation, commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, or maintenance-related customers
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, fleet maintenance operations, preventative maintenance programs, or equipment reliability
- Proven business development and territory growth experience
- Ability to explain ROI, cost savings, downtime reduction, and operational improvements
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for business travel
- Residence within Metro Vancouver or the Fraser Valley
Candidates without both fleet-related sales experience and diesel/equipment maintenance knowledge are unlikely to be successful in this role.
What You'll Do
- Develop and grow a new territory throughout Vancouver Island
- Prospect and secure new fleet, commercial, and industrial accounts
- Build relationships with owners, fleet managers, maintenance managers, operations leaders, and shop foremen
- Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions
- Present technical solutions and demonstrate business value and ROI
- Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Manage customer relationships through regular communication and site visits
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer success
Preferred Experience
Experience selling any of the following is considered a strong asset:
- Fleet maintenance products and services
- Heavy-duty truck products
- Diesel engine products
- Lubricants and chemicals
- Industrial products
- Metalworking and metal lubrication solutions
- Fleet management solutions
- Heavy equipment products
- Commercial vehicle dealership products and services
Candidates with extensive automotive, trucking, diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment industry knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply.
Diesel technicians who have successfully transitioned into sales, account management, territory management, or business development roles are also encouraged to apply.

Travel Requirements
Regular travel throughout:
- Vancouver Island
- Metro Vancouver
- Fraser Valley
- Okanagan Region (as required)
Occasional travel within Canada may be required for customer meetings, training, and business development activities.
