Job Description:

We are currently looking for a CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer to join our manufacturing team, The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following:

Set up and operate CNC and Manual lathes to produce plastic and elastomeric parts used in the hydraulic/pneumatic sealing industry.
Perform machining operations such as turning, sawing, drilling and deburring.
Fit and assemble machined parts and subassemblies ensuring quality in the finished assembly.
Quality inspections utilizing various measurement tools and metrology techniques.
Responsible for producing a variety of different seal geometries on demand.
Label, identify and prepare various types of material for machining.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, reporting any concerns that will affect production.
Use of overhead crane or lift to assist in positioning and moving of heavy or large components.
Follow established safety practices and verify all tooling and setup requirements are satisfied before running a job.

General Qualifications:

Previous experience in machine operating an asset (Minimum 2 years)
Experience in machining elastomers and plastics an asset.
Ability to machine parts independently using a manual lathe an asset.
Experience in working with CAD/CAM an asset.
Ability to read, understand and modify or edit CNC programs an asset.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Basic knowledge of measuring equipment.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficient with using a computer or laptop.
Knowledge of GD&T and in-process inspections.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.
Motivated and willing to learn new skills.

Training:

Training on equipment and software that the candidate is expected to work on will be provided.
