Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee landscape projects and coordinate team activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in horticulture or gardening, and hands-on experience in irrigation, construction, or landscape services. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high-quality work, and contribute to the beautification of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily landscape activities, including patios, hardscaping, drainage work.
Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper water management
Lead and motivate a team of workers to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Assist with project planning, including site assessment and resource allocation
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
Collaborate with clients and management to deliver exceptional service and address any issues that arise
Maintain equipment and tools necessary for landscape projects
Provide training and mentorship to team members to develop their skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction

Skills

Proven experience in supervising teams within landscaping or horticultural environments
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles
Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and construction processes
Leadership abilities with excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Physical capability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
