Job Profile

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers, generating sales opportunities, and managing orders for a pipe manufacturing company. This role serves as a primary point of contact for contractors, distributors, industrial customers, and project managers, providing product information, pricing, quotations, and order support while helping drive revenue growth.

Job Duties

Promote a high standard of customer service by ensuring timely communication and resolution of customer requests when responding to customer inquiries by phone, email, and online channels.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, bids, and pricing proposals.
Process sales orders and coordinate order fulfillment with production, inventory, and logistics teams.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities.
Provide technical product information on pipe specifications, materials, dimensions, and applications.
Monitor customer accounts, track sales activity, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support customer projects and strategic accounts.
Resolve customer issues related to orders, deliveries, product availability, and service concerns.
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Assist in achieving sales targets and profitability objectives.
Build and maintain a sales pipeline by regularly contacting dormant, inactive, and prospective customers to identify opportunities and increase market share.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.
Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, as required.
Other relevant duties, as requested.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field preferred.
Experience in inside sales, customer service, or industrial/manufacturing sales.
Knowledge of pipe products, construction materials, industrial distribution, or manufacturing processes is an asset.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and ERP/order management systems.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
