Position Summary
The Warehouse Material Handler performs inventory control activities to support the electronics manufacturing process. The role contributes to operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction through precise inventory recording and material handling. Key tasks include kitting materials for production orders, stocking inventory to electronics industry standards, and recording inventory movement in ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Management: Maintain organization and cycle counts by location, count, and status.
· System Transactions: Transact material in the ERP system to match the physical movement of parts (experience with CETEC is an asset).
· Kitting & Picking: Accurately pick, count, label, and transact parts for production according to pick lists.
· Manufacturing Support: Deliver in-process inventory to point-of-use work stations and expedite materials to support operations.
· Discrepancy Resolution: Verify inventory computations against physical counts and investigate or adjust errors.
· Material Protection: Use specific packaging and handling methods to protect materials from damage, including electrostatic discharge (ESD) and moisture sensitivity.
· Organization & Logistics: Load and unload trucks and containers, and store parts according to material handling guidance such as FIFO.
· Specialized Handling: Bake parts following specifications and select correct pocket and tape for tape-and-reel packaging.
· Workplace Standards: Maintain safety and 5S workplace organization standards.
Qualifications
Required:
· Experience: Must have at least 1-2 years experience in electronics manufacturing
· Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalency.
· Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
· Computer Skills: Basic computer navigation skills, including email applications.
· Communication: Proficient English business communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Security Requirements: Must be able to pass SECURITY CLEARANCE to work in DEFENSE/AEROSPACE industries.
· Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
· Technical Skills: Experience handling electronic components.
· Software: Ability to download, view, and edit Excel documents.
· Equipment: Use of powered material handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
· Flexibility: Ability to work flexible schedules
