We are looking for an experienced Senior SEO & Digital Marketing Manager to take ownership of the digital growth for several local service businesses, including dental clinics and an event services company.
This is not a junior marketing coordinator role. We are looking for someone experienced, strategic, and hands-on who can eventually take over the full digital marketing system for our businesses.
The right person will manage and improve our SEO, websites, WordPress pages, Google Business Profiles, backlinks, content, analytics, local marketing, paid ads coordination, vendor management, and conversion strategy.
We are looking for someone who understands how to grow local-service businesses online and turn website traffic into real calls, bookings, new patients, and new customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and execute SEO strategies for multiple local business websites.
- Improve Google rankings for high-intent local keywords.
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles.
- Plan, build, and improve website pages, service pages, landing pages, blog posts, and location pages.
- Make regular WordPress website updates.
- Improve website structure, menus, internal linking, calls-to-action, booking buttons, forms, and lead-capture flow.
- Coordinate website changes with developers when advanced technical work is required.
- Identify technical SEO issues and coordinate fixes.
- Manage redirects, title tags, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, internal links, and schema recommendations.
- Monitor rankings, organic traffic, phone calls, form submissions, bookings, and new patient/customer numbers.
- Use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, BrightLocal, Local Falcon, or similar platforms.
- Build and manage safe, high-quality backlink and local outreach campaigns.
- Review backlink quality and avoid spammy or low-quality link-building.
- Build content calendars for websites, Google Business Profiles, and supporting social media channels.
- Coordinate with writers, designers, developers, photographers, videographers, and outside agencies.
- Manage outside vendors and hold them accountable.
- Improve website conversion rates through better page layouts, headlines, calls-to-action, offers, forms, and user experience.
- Coordinate with internal team members to collect photos, videos, testimonials, reviews, and service information.
- Track competitors and identify opportunities to outrank them.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports showing work completed, ranking changes, traffic changes, leads generated, and next priorities.
- Eventually reduce our dependence on outside agencies by bringing more execution in-house.
Website & WordPress Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing and improving business websites, especially WordPress websites.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and editing WordPress pages.
- Creating SEO-focused service pages, location pages, landing pages, and blog posts.
- Using common WordPress themes, builders, and plugins.
- Working with tools such as Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Yoast SEO, Rank Math, Gravity Forms, WPForms, or similar platforms.
- Making basic website changes without needing a developer for every task.
- Improving mobile layout, page speed, navigation, forms, booking links, and calls-to-action.
- Ensuring new pages are built with SEO and conversion in mind.
- Managing redirects and helping with website migrations when needed.
- Understanding when to handle a website change directly and when to bring in a developer.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of SEO or digital marketing experience.
- Proven experience with local SEO.
- Experience ranking local-service businesses such as dental, medical, legal, home services, real estate, clinics, franchises, or similar businesses.
- Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization.
- Experience managing and updating WordPress websites.
- Experience creating SEO-focused website pages and landing pages.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, internal linking, content strategy, and backlinks.
- Experience using Google Search Console and GA4.
- Experience using Ahrefs, Semrush, BrightLocal, Local Falcon, or similar SEO tools.
- Comfortable using common WordPress builders, themes, and SEO plugins.
- Ability to make basic website edits without relying on a developer for every change.
- Understanding of website conversion optimization.
- Ability to manage contractors, agencies, developers, writers, and designers.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
- Comfortable working across multiple businesses and websites at the same time.
Preferred Experience
- Dental, healthcare, or medical SEO experience.
- Multi-location local SEO experience.
- Google Ads and Meta Ads experience.
- Experience building full websites in WordPress.
- Elementor or similar page-builder experience.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Experience with website migrations, redirects, site structure, and technical SEO.
- Experience improving page speed and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with call tracking and lead attribution.
- Experience managing backlink outreach.
- Experience improving website conversion rates.
- Experience working with photographers, videographers, designers, and content creators.
- Experience managing or auditing outside SEO agencies.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is strategic but also hands-on.
You should be able to look at a website, ranking report, Google Business Profile, competitor website, backlink profile, or agency report and understand what needs to be done next.
You should not need daily direction. We want someone who can create the plan, execute the plan, manage others, and clearly report progress.
The right person will eventually become the main person responsible for our digital growth.

Compensation
Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Performance bonus available for measurable growth in rankings, traffic, leads, bookings, and business results.
