Food Service Worker – Temporary to Permanent
About Our Client
Our client is looking for staff to visit schools and distribute hot meals to the students. There are a few things you need to be able to accept this position so please read the requirements carefully. What You Will Be Doing, as a Food Service Worker:
- Follow all guidelines for food preparation; recipe adherence; brand standard adherence.
- Receive stock, store and check for quality and quantity; ensuring that all stock is dated and rotated.
- Prepare all necessary food items in a timely manner. Serve customers with visually appealing products, hot/cold food and beverages during service times.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment.
- To accept payment and give change to customers, including operating a till in accordance to all cash handling procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Food Service Worker:
- Preferably experience of at least 6 months but not mandatory
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check
- Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must have a valid Food Safety/Handling Certificate
- Must have a vehicle – this role is not transit bus accessible.
- Strong communication skills in English is a must
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $17.50/hr plus 4 % vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Week day shifts
- Full time
- 8:00am to 2pm (with some flexibility – you should prepare for a 6 to 8 hour shift)
