Job Summary:
New Model Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining Production Management plans referred to as “customer milestones between the LOI and mass production time” to ensure each internal event build meets Musashi’s customer requirements and to follow up amongst all internal department activities related to each specific new program.
Reports to: Senior Manager, Technical
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-5 years of experience of process development for manufacturing analyzing CAD 3D model drawings, specifications, and productions volume.
- 4-5 years of experience in new development models focusing in quality control, cost, delivery, engineering, and/or production.
- Experience with MS Project & MS Planner.
- PMP certificate is an asset.

Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve new model activities and targets set out in the Company and Technical business plans.
- Design, create, test and maintain production management plan for the new model.
- Project and design feasibility by interpreting CAD 3D engineering design drawing.
- Prepare monthly reports on new model progress.
- Create and maintain APQP activities.
- Customer relations regarding new models development and related activities.
- QCD meeting preparation and control through M-FLO system.
- New Model event build follow-up and control through tracker system.
- A0-4 (Maker Layout) elaboration at proposal time based on SED information.
- Elaboration of documents to support QCD evaluations referred to as SED documents.
- Support customer audits related to new model and process maturation time.
- New Model company line up control and update on a monthly basis.
- Prepare verbal and written reports.
- Attend annual health and safety training including (but not limited to) WHMIS, and Lockout Tag-out.
- Perform related duties as required.
