Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service experiences. The Sous Chef/Line Cook will assist in managing kitchen operations, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
Support the kitchen team in meal preparation during busy service hours
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
Serve food efficiently to ensure timely delivery to guests
Uphold excellent food safety practices at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, meal preparation, and food safety standards
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Experience with food handling, restaurant procedures, and culinary techniques preferred
Kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and food industry best practices
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
