JOB SUMMARY
Cadex has a full time permanent position available for a Machinist. We are looking to hire a CNC Machine Operator/Programmer for our HAAS machines in our Machine Shop. The successful candidate will have 1+ years in the electronics manufacturing field and possess a good understanding of related processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Set up, operate, and maintain Haas computer numerically controlled (CNC) Vertical milling centers
- Set up and safe operation of bandshaw and drill press
- Maintain production quota’s
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of all shop machines and coordinate with 3rd party service providers when needed
- Safely and correctly change tooling and saw blades
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Ensure consistence quality of all machined parts
- Effectively meet scheduled complete dates, including planning and creating buffers to address potential delays or downtimes
- Manage and maintain files using established file naming procedures and file storage practices
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Experience in operating a HAAS VF4 CNC
- Experience in using Solidworks, Solidworks Cam, and/or CamWorks
- Knowledge in generating G codes for prototyping
- Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures
- Must work well with others and on your own
- ISO 9001 experience is an asset
