Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter as well as a licensed Forklift Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for using an Airless Sprayer to apply on various steel parts, weldments, and structural steel. You must also have the ability to move steel materials to the designated areas in the fabricating workshop. This role requires attention to detail, great organizational skills, mechanical understanding, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and removing oil stains as needed
- Apply paint using an airless sprayer with previous experience as an asset
- Operate warehouse equipment such as a Forklifts for material handling of steel parts
- Assist in other areas of the workshop as production demands
- Follow safety protocols related to equipment operation and work environment
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and proper storage of materials
Requirements
- Prior experience in industrial painting or related experience working in a fabrication environment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to surface preparation and coating application
- Valid Forklift Certification
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required during material handling tasks
- Familiarity in a fabrication environment and working with various steel parts is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
