Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

The Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for supervising the engineering team, reviewing engineering work prior to issuance, and mentoring junior members of the engineering team. The Senior Mine Engineer will also conduct underground inspections and job observations. The role provides support to the Mining Superintendent and Chief Mine Engineer in reporting on overall mine performance and future direction.
Job Responsibilities:

Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Supervise, train, and mentor engineers and mine technicians.

Review and approve mine engineering plans, schedules, ventilation, and dewatering plans.

Drive annual budget, production forecast, and life-of-mine (LOM) planning activities.

Collaborate with Geology and Metallurgy to optimize production scheduling and blending requirements.

Support the conversion of mineral resources into mining reserves.

Assess and implement new technologies to improve underground safety and productivity.

Promote engineering best practices in mine design and underground infrastructure.

Review work practices to identify and reduce operational and personnel risks.

Provide QAQC and technical support for blasting, drilling, and mining activities.

Ensure underground services meet site safety and operational standards.

Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental permits, and company policies.

Respond to underground operational incidents and emergencies as required.

Foster collaboration across departments to optimize mine operations.

Support mining reconciliation and stope reconciliation programs.

Produce and review operational, production, cost, and performance reports.

Develop and maintain standardized planning and production processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.

Manage operational changes through formal change management processes.
Job Qualifications and Skills:

Registered as a P.Eng in Saskatchewan or eligible for registration with APEGS.

Minimum tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering (B.Eng. Mining) or equivalent.

7+ years of underground hard rock mining experience. Supervisory experience is considered an asset.

Strong understanding of business and operational requirements.

Proficiency with the Deswik mining suite including Sched, DB, CAD, and IS.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.

Experience with Power BI or SQL is considered an asset.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Ability to work in a dynamic mining environment and adapt to changing conditions.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture.

Robust understanding of ventilation, dewatering, ground control, and underground support systems.

Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced mining environment.
