Competitive Compensation Based on Experience
At RMD, our purpose is simple:
Drive change to make the world better.
Our niche is even more unique.
We build what doesn’t yet exist in the one health space — supporting innovation across environmental, human, and animal systems.
That means the systems you help build contribute to advanced manufacturing, automation, and emerging technologies designed to solve real-world problems.
As our company evolves, so does our manufacturing approach.
Where We’re Headed
RMD is transitioning from a traditional job shop model to a more structured, production-focused manufacturing environment. That includes:
- Stronger process discipline
- Greater efficiency and repeatability
- Investment in advanced CNC equipment
- Integration of automation technologies
- Growth of internal electrical and controls capabilities
We are also implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to strengthen accountability, communication, and execution across the organization. This creates clear expectations, stronger teamwork, and opportunities for leadership growth as the company scales.
As our products gain market adoption, the Technical Product Specialist will play a critical role connecting RMD's engineering innovations with customer success in the field.

Our values guide everything we do:
RUTID
- Respect – We treat people right

- Integrity – We do the right thing
- Drive – We push forward
The Opportunity
At RMD, no two days look the same.
You might start your morning in our shop, collaborating with our engineering team to stress-test a new configuration or providing remote technical support to a client hitting a snag. By the afternoon, you’re the face of the company: leading an on-site installation, walking a customer through the machine’s interface, and ensuring their production line is firing on all cylinders. Whether you’re turning a wrench to fine-tune a component or troubleshooting a complex software setting, you are the critical link between our innovative technology and our customers' success.
If you love variety, have a knack for solving problems on the fly, and enjoy being the expert everyone turns to, you’ll find that here, your potential to grow is as limitless as our technology.
This is not a desk job.
This is a role for a high-energy problem solver who loves the tactile challenge of machine setup, the intellectual stimulation of troubleshooting, and the social reward of being a trusted advisor to our customers.
As an RMD representative, you will be our boots on the ground — the person customers rely on to get their operations running at peak performance.
We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist who thrives at the intersection of complex mechanics and human connection.
What You’ll Own
- The Full Machine Lifecycle: You will master our equipment from the inside out, leading installations, fine-tuning setups, and performing critical service.
- Technical Excellence: Provide high-level technical support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to resolve issues with speed and precision.
- Strategic Client Partnerships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. You are the face of RMD, turning technical complexity into a seamless, positive experience for the end-user.
- Knowledge Transfer: You will act as an educator, training clients on the nuances of their machines so they can extract maximum value and efficiency from our technology.
- Cross-Functional Impact: Work directly with our internal engineering teams, providing real-world feedback from the field to influence future product design and process improvements.
Why This Role Matters
You will be the bridge between RMD’s engineering vision and the customer’s success.
As our business scales, so will the scope of your responsibilities and your travel footprint.
This is a platform for a self-starter to turn mechanical aptitude and customer service into a cornerstone career.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Fluency: A solid foundation in mechanics or electronics. Millwright experience or education is a major asset and will be highly valued.
- The "Solver" Mindset: You don’t get flustered under pressure; you get curious. You enjoy diagnosing why something isn’t working and pride yourself on finding the fix.
- Personable & Proactive: You are naturally "front-forward." You can explain complex machine operations to a customer with the same enthusiasm you use to discuss technical specs with an engineer.
- Self-Learner: You have an innate drive to understand the "how" and "why." You don’t wait to be taught; you actively seek out information to become the resident expert.
- Ready for the Road: You are excited by travel and the opportunity to work in diverse industrial environments.
Why Join RMD
We offer more than just a job; we offer an environment where technical curiosity is rewarded. You will work alongside engineers who respect your field expertise, travel to work with industry leaders, and become a pivotal part of the RMD growth story.
Own Your Impact
We move fast, and we trust our people to lead the way. At RMD, we don't believe in micromanagement; we believe in radical ownership. You are empowered to take initiative, make decisions in the field, and shape the way our technology is deployed. Whether you are collaborating with our design engineers or training a customer on a new system, your unique insights and problem-solving skills have a direct line to our product’s evolution.
Growth Without Ceilings
We offer an environment where technical curiosity is the most valuable currency. You will work alongside world-class engineers who respect your field expertise and rely on your real-world feedback to push our boundaries.
The Adventure of Expertise
This is a role for those who find the office chair too confining. You will travel to work with industry-leading partners, turning complex technical hurdles into success stories. As RMD grows, so does your career; from mastering our current equipment to taking on larger projects, leading new initiatives, or stepping into more advanced roles.
Safety Is Our #1 Priority
You will receive proper training before undertaking any task, have access to required PPE, and always have the right to refuse unsafe work.
We strictly follow health, safety, and quality standards to ensure everyone goes home safe.
If you're looking for an opportunity to combine technical expertise, customer engagement, problem-solving, and advanced manufacturing technology, we'd like to hear from you.
