Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC lathe and milling machines, proficiency in CNC programming, and a strong mechanical background. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks and be comfortable reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools like calipers. Experience with Fanuc controls and lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about machining, manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce accurate parts
Write or modify CNC programs to optimize machining processes
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure part quality
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Assist with assembly, welding, or other manufacturing tasks as needed
Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste

Qualifications

Proven experience with CNC programming and operation on CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of machining processes and tooling
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks; ability to read blueprints accurately
Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
Strong understanding of basic math including measurements, tolerances, and calculations for machining
Ability to use calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not required
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes is advantageous
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
