Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) SAP SCM Solution Architect to join our Service Delivery team with the Ministry of Technology and Innovation (Government of Alberta).
WORK MODEL: The successful candidate(s) will work onsite 5 days per week at Terrace Building, 9515 – 107 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Work must be performed from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, etc.). Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding observed holidays.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) Solution Architect
Scope:
The SAP SCM Solution Architect is the strategic leader responsible for designing and governing the organization’s end-to-end digital supply chain, procurement, and finance ecosystem. This role ensures that processes across Plan–Source–Make–Deliver–Return, as well as Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P), are fully integrated and optimized across SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, OpenText, and SAP BTP.
The architect brings a big picture, enterprise wide perspective, ensuring that all systems, data flows, and business processes work together as a cohesive, scalable, and compliant environment. This role requires deep cross functional expertise, strong integration capabilities, and the ability to translate complex business needs into sustainable architectural solutions.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
End-to-end Architecture Leadership
– Own the overall architecture for Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance processes across S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, and OpenText.
– Design solutions with a holistic, end-to-end mindset, ensuring upstream and downstream impacts are fully understood and accounted for.
– Align solution architecture with organizational strategy, public-sector procurement frameworks, and long-term digital transformation goals.
Complex Integration & System Design
– Architect and govern complex integration points across SAP and non-SAP platforms, ensuring seamless data flow, workflow orchestration, and financial alignment.
– Define integration patterns using SAP BTP Integration Suite, CIG, APIs, IDocs, and Datasphere.
– Ensure consistency of master data, supplier data, and transactional data across the entire ecosystem.
Cross Functional Business Process Leadership
– Lead workshops with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Vendor Management teams to translate business requirements into architectural designs.
– Provide thought leadership on digital supply chain modernization, procurement transformation, and financial integration.
– Ensure solutions comply with public-sector procurement rules, audit requirements, and financial controls.
Project Delivery & Governance
– Lead solution blueprinting, feasibility assessments, and cross platform impact analysis.
– Provide architectural direction to functional consultants, developers, and testing teams.
– Oversee testing and validation activities, including Ariba and Fieldglass quarterly release cycles.
– Ensure solution quality through governance, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Analytics, Reporting & Data Strategy
– Partner with data and reporting teams to design analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Datasphere.
– Ensure data models support operational reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
MANDATORY SKILLS
– Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. (Yes or No)
– Ability to design solutions with a long term architectural vision, balancing standard SAP capabilities with business specific needs. (6 years+)
– Experience with SAP Finance (FI), including financial postings, invoice processing, and integration points with procurement and supply chain. (5 years+)
– Experience working with SAP ECC or S/4HANA in S2C (Source to Contract) or P2P (Procure to Pay) modules. (10 years+)
– Hands on experience with enterprise wide transformation programs, including process harmonization, change management, and system integration. (8 years+)
– Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, applications. (5 years+)
– Leadership or supervisory experience in IT testing and validation, especially for Ariba updates. (5 years+)
– Proven ability to lead requirement gathering sessions and evaluate solution feasibility. (5 years+)
– Solid understanding of public-sector procurement practices and compliance frameworks. (5 years+)
– Strong understanding of end to end supply chain processes: source to pay, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. (8 years+)
DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
– Certification with Ariba. (Yes or No)
– Certification with Fieldglass. (Yes or No)
– PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. (Yes or No)
– SAP certification that covers S/4HANA P2P (Procure to Pay). (Yes or No)
– Experience implementing recognized project management methodologies and standards. (1 years+)
– Experience with TOGAF framework. (1 years+)
– Experience working in or for the public sector. (1 years+)
– Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). (Yes or No)
