Purpose of your Position - Non Union

Classification Summary - Union

Police Services Forensic Video Analyst provides forensic video analysis, ensuring work performed meets the standards for scientific acceptance in the federal and provincial court systems.

Duties - Union

Scientifically analyzes and processes forensic video evidence at an analytical or technical level from multi-media hardware and software.
Prepares reports and provides expert testimony in court to validate evidence.
Provides subject-matter expertise and instruction in forensic video analysis and video evidence.
Operates, maintains, researches, tests, and recommends specialized multi-media hardware and software.
Visits various sites to retrieve evidence.
Views imagery of a sensitive, graphic and disturbing nature while carrying out duties, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures in relation to exhibit handling.
Knowledge of forensic terminology.

Results and Activities - Non union

Credentials - Union

Two-year Diploma in a related discipline (i.e. Video/Digital production and editing, television production)
Certified Forensic Video Analyst (CFVA) program through LEVA
Experience
RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
