Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team in delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and experience managing restaurant operations. This role involves overseeing daily front-of-house activities, supervising staff, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in food handling, POS systems such as Micros POS, and food safety standards. A passion for the food industry and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in this position. Supports the General Manager daily on all related tasks.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure efficient restaurant operations
Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards
Manage customer service interactions to enhance guest satisfaction
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and cash handling procedures
Conduct interviewing and onboarding of new team members
Train staff on food safety, food handling, and hospitality best practices
Monitor restaurant cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with health regulations
Assist in kitchen operations when necessary, including basic food preparation and cooking tasks
Lead team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist management to optimize guest flow

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety standards
Proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
Background in restaurant management or hospitality preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food industry regulations and safety protocols
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interview potential staff members effectively
Prior experience in restaurant or food service roles including kitchen experience is desirable
Food Handlers Certification- TRAIN CAN certification
Smart Serve Certification
