Overview:

Would you like to plan and coordinate ship loading and unloading operations? Your place is with LOGISTEC as Superintendent, joining our operations team at our Montreal terminal.

Responsibilities:

What your days look like as a Superintendent:

Plan the implementation of ship loading and unloading operations;
Determine the equipment and labour required for operations;
Coordinate the execution of maritime operations and cargo handing on the terminal;
Supervise the work teams under your responsibility;
Enforce health and safety guidelines in the workplace;
Prepare performance and cost control reports;
Represent the company in various committees or assemblies.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Superintendent you must have:

Five (5) years of experience supervising unionized staff;
Ability to work outdoors and on different work shifts;
Demonstrate autonomy, team spirit, flexibility and judgment;
Decision-making ability;
Ability to communicate in English and French (written and spoken); Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan‑Canadian, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, is required.
Have a diploma of vocational or college studies;
Have a Class 5 driving licence.
