Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Summer Position candidate to join our team as a PowerSports Backyard Hand, Shop Hand, and Pickup/Delivery Assistant. This role offers hands-on experience in outdoor maintenance, shop operations, and delivery within a dynamic environment.
Hours will worked between Monday-Friday during our open hours ( 8:15am -5:00pm)
example hours could be 9:00am to 3:00pm or could be 10:00am to 4:00pm, some days it will be guided by customer pick up and drops offs. There is the possibility of it being 8:15-5:00 if the person is proactive with helping and seeing what needs done, and if they have some mechanical basics to assist a tech in PDI"s and light accessory work.
Position is for approx- June, July, August, Sept, Oct (Possibly November depending how busy)- If the cadidate is going to University, College etc in Sept we would be okay with a early stopping of the role or adjust lower hours.
Duties
- Assist in unbuilding and removing crates from units for techs, and taking to storage section
- Support the setup, cleaning, and organization of the shop area
- Help with yard work, including landscaping, cleaning, and general outdoor upkeep related to PowerSports products.
- Load, unload, and organize inventory for customer pickups or deliveries.
- Assist with pickup and delivery of products to customers’ locations, ensuring proper handling and timely service. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A TRUCK AND TRAILER, AND STRAP DOWN UNITS PROPERLY-
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of PowerSports equipment and outdoor gear using hand tools and power tools if required
- Support team members with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Parts moving around, parts clean up, Storage room clean up and moving
- And other- this is a general assistant position, and will be asked to do multiple of random things for the business,
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness in handling equipment and tools.
- Reliable transportation for pickup/delivery duties; valid driver’s license is a plus.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Pay: $17.75-$18.50 per hour
