Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Professional Forester to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable forest management, research initiatives, and environmental conservation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in forestry practices, data analysis, and GIS technologies, with a passion for ecological research and resource management. This position is essential for supporting our projects that require precise data collection, environmental assessments, and strategic planning to promote healthy forest ecosystems.

Duties

Conduct field surveys and collect data related to forest health, growth, and biodiversity.
Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD for mapping, spatial analysis, and project planning.
Perform data analysis to interpret ecological trends and support research objectives.
Assist in laboratory experiments and research activities related to forestry science.
Apply mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and operational tasks in the field.
Support environmental impact assessments through comprehensive data collection and reporting.
Use Python scripting to automate data processing workflows and enhance analytical efficiency.
Contribute to horticultural projects by applying specialized knowledge in plant care and propagation.
Collaborate with research teams on projects involving data analysis, modeling, and environmental monitoring.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during fieldwork and laboratory activities.

Skills

Laboratory experience with scientific research methods and data handling.
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and GIS applications for spatial analysis.
Strong data collection skills with attention to detail for accurate field measurements.
Research experience in forestry or environmental sciences is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to forestry equipment operation and maintenance.
Experience with AutoCAD for technical drawings and project planning.
Programming skills in Python for data automation and analysis tasks.
Knowledge of horticulture practices relevant to forest ecosystems management.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
