Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute.

This role will be offered to work Friday to Sunday Nightshift (6:00 PM - 5:30 AM).

The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for conducting assembly of electronic equipment and troubleshooting circuit problems, while applying theory and related knowledge to install and build or repair electronic equipment as needed. This role will be responsible for recommending and/or initiating equipment modifications and/or replacement of electronic components.

Roles & Responsibilities

Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and build electronic components from a blueprint
Make recommendations for replacement or modification of electronic equipment and repair and/or replace electronic components
Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment
Set up and perform circuit tests
Apply knowledge of current electrical code and CSA standards
Ensure quality of the product
Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code
Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Effective communication skills.
Time management skills.
Critical eye for identifying defects.
Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.
Must be able to read a tape measure and perform simple mathematical fractional equations.
Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset

Working Conditions

Commercial/Industrial environment.
Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Long periods of standing.
Overtime as required.
