Position Summary:
The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the department. This position supports manufacturing operations by safely transporting, storing, and staging materials, ensuring timely delivery to production lines and helping out where needed. You will work as a member of a team, in order to maintain the company’s goal of 100% on time delivery to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and adherence to PPE requirements.
· Transport raw materials, resins, masterbatch and other rejected materials using forklifts, pump carts or other equipment.
· Deliver materials to designated production areas based on work orders and schedules.
· Ensure timely staging of materials for operations.
· Weigh masterbatch materials accurately according to production specifications.
· Build skids for finished goods and prepare them for storage or shipment
· Remove and identify non-conforming products in order to ensure quality standards.
· Move full skids to appropriate areas, as required.
· Inform Team Lead of any defects, breakage and/or down time on the shift.
· Perform regular production department clean up during and at the end of each shift.
· Assist the grinder operator by supplying scrap materials, clearing jams, and transporting regrind to designated areas.
· Provide support to other departments such as quality control, maintenance, conversion when required.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
Adhere to Quality standards and procedures.
· Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2 -3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous machine operator experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Forklift License Required (must attain and maintain).

· Mechanically inclined.
· Have excellent math and measurement skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- This job is performed in an industrial environment, and generally requires 75% standing, 25% walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling may be required from time to time.
- Regular exposure to dust, fumes, noise and extreme temperatures can be expected.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, are required.
- Use of power tools
Hours of Work:
Regular working hours between 36 - 48 hours per week. Schedule may vary to meet production requirements.
40 hours per week, rotating shifts days, evenings, nights weekly. Days, Monday through Friday (7:30 am – 3:30 pm). Evening Monday through Friday (3:30 pm – 11:30 pm). Night Sunday through Thursday (11:30 pm – 7:30 am).
