Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency in building, repairing, and maintaining structures. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on diverse projects.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Assist with electrical installations as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Work on roofing projects, including installation and repairs.
- Engage in masonry work for building walls, walkways, and other structures.
- Build custom cabinets and furniture according to specifications.
- Lay tiles for flooring or walls as part of renovation or new construction projects.
- Install drywall efficiently while ensuring a smooth finish for painting or decoration.
- Participate in concrete forming for foundations, slabs, and other structural elements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
- Experience with roofing materials and techniques is beneficial.
- Skills in masonry work are advantageous for various projects.
- Proficiency in cabinet installation and custom woodworking is desired.
- Competence in tile laying for both residential and commercial applications.
- Experience with drywall installation and finishing processes is essential.
- Knowledge of concrete forming methods is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.50-$28.50 per hour
