Summary
We are seeking an experienced Material Control to join our dynamic team at our Casegoods Division in Kitchener.

HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location - Manitou Drive, Kitchener
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unload trucks and courier vans in a timely fashion.
- Manning the cage to pick individual requests or "shopping lists" from individuals on piecework.
- Making sure that the Inventory Control Team Leader is aware of all shortages for follow-up.
- Ensure that courier packages or "hot" product is delivered to the correct personnel in a timely fashion.
- Check PO's in PdMain to verify correct product and current locations and to see if product needs inspection.
- Notify purchasing of any discrepancies or damaged product received.
- Ensure that QA has copies of all packing slips requiring inspection and that the product is tagged accordingly.
- Put stock away and record location on packing slips.
- Band and secure product being delivered to other plants or suppliers.
- Responsible for issuing proper and accurate paper work - shipping notices, bills of lading, packing slips and bin transfers.
- Replenish lines with components from cage and warehouse, ensuring no stock out of material.
- Respond to shortages, support locating and cycle counting discrepancies
- Develop and recommend strategies to enhance inventory procedures, assisting staff and planning.
- Bin location audits.
- Organize supplies and shelves to ensure accuracy of material for put away, maintaining inventory in correct locations Cycle counts.
- Root cause and corrective actions to variances from cycle count discrepancies, for preventative shortages.
- Problem solver when monitoring, maintaining, and improving inventory accuracy & efficiency.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12 education or equivalent.
· 1-year previous experience in inventory control/shipping/receiving capacity
· Computer knowledge, good communication and organizational skills
